FAQ
During the beta
How do I get in?
BlackFlame is in an invite-only beta. Enter your invite code on the sign-in screen the first time you sign in. If you already have an account, leave the code blank.
Is the money real?
No. Every account starts with 500 BFD of practice balance. Practice balances, holdings and Daily Vault amounts are for the beta only and do not convert to real funds. Everything else works exactly as it will at launch.
Can I deposit or withdraw?
Not during the beta. Add Funds and Withdraw are switched off, and there is nothing to deposit or withdraw while balances are practice BFD.
Who are the "Sample Creator" coins?
They are placeholder coins that keep Explore from being empty. They are not real people. Trade them as you would any other coin to learn how BlackFlame works.
What BlackFlame is
What is BlackFlame?
BlackFlame is a creator-coin platform where every creator has a coin and anyone can buy it. Buying a creator's coin backs that creator directly, and holding it shares in that coin's Daily Vault. Every account gets its own coin at signup and can buy any other coin.
What is BFD?
BFD is BlackFlame's unit of account. Every balance, price and Daily Vault amount on BlackFlame is shown in BFD.
Creator coins and prices
How is a coin's price set?
Each coin's price comes from QRP, BlackFlame's pricing engine. The price depends only on how many of that coin are in circulation: buys mint new coins and move the price up, and sells burn coins and move it down. Nobody sets the price by hand, not the creator and not BlackFlame.
What do Micro, Mid and Mega mean?
Every coin is created in one of three tiers based on the creator's audience size on the social account they sign in with: Micro for under 100,000 followers, Mid from 100,000, and Mega from 5,000,000. The tier sets how quickly the price moves as coins are bought and sold. The tier is set when the coin is created.
Where do I find coins to buy?
Explore lists every active coin with its current price and number of holders. Search finds any coin by handle or name, including coins nobody has bought yet. A creator's coin can be bought from the moment their account exists.
Buying and selling
How do I buy a coin?
Open the creator's page and tap Buy. Enter an amount in BFD, review the quote and the fee breakdown, then confirm. The coins land in your holdings and your balance is debited at once.
What does a buy cost?
Of the amount you pay, 4.0% is split three ways: 1.0% is set aside for the creator, 1.0% goes to BlackFlame, and 2.0% goes into that coin's Daily Vault. The remaining 96.0% goes into the coin's treasury, which backs every holder's ability to sell. The buy price also sits 0.5% above the mid price; this spread is shown as its own line in the fee breakdown.
What does a sell cost?
When you sell, 1.0% goes to BlackFlame and 2.0% goes into the coin's Daily Vault, so you receive 97.0% of the sale value in BFD. There is no creator fee on a sell. The sell price sits 0.5% below the mid price, shown as its own line.
Are there limits, and can I cancel?
The smallest buy is 0.1 BFD, and you can buy a fraction of a coin. Sells are limited only by what you hold. Every trade settles the moment it is confirmed and is final: there is no cancel or undo.
The Daily Vault
What is the Daily Vault?
Every coin has its own Daily Vault. 2.0% of every buy and every sell of that coin goes into it, and at 12:00 PM IST each day the vault is shared out among the people who hold the coin.
Who gets a share?
You get a share of a coin's Daily Vault if you have held that coin continuously for the 24 hours before noon IST and your Daily Vault is empty at noon. Your share is in proportion to how many of the coin you hold compared with other eligible holders. Selling out and buying back restarts your 24 hours.
How do I claim my Daily Vault?
Amounts from every coin you hold collect in one Daily Vault on your Home screen, with the amount from each coin shown. Tap "Claim Daily Vault" and the whole amount is added to your balance in one step. Unclaimed amounts do not expire, but anything still unclaimed at noon IST leaves you out of that day’s share for every coin; claim before 12 PM to be included.
Can a Daily Vault be empty?
Yes. The amount depends entirely on how much trading happened in that coin, so on a quiet day a vault can be 0 BFD. A vault holding less than 0.1 BFD, or one with no eligible holders, is carried forward to the next day instead of being shared.
Your balance and money
Where do I see my balance and holdings?
Your Home screen shows your balance, your holdings valued at the current price, and your Daily Vault. The Wallet page shows your balance in full, and Portfolio lists every coin you hold.
For creators
What does a creator get?
1.0% of every buy of your coin is set aside for you. You also hold your own coin's Daily Vault distribution like any other holder.
Can I buy my own coin?
Yes, up to 50 BFD per day (measured in UTC). Selling your own coin has no cap.
What can I change about my coin?
Your handle is created from the social account you sign in with and cannot be changed.
Accounts and sign-in
Who can join?
You must be 18 or over. Sign in with YouTube today; Instagram sign-in follows and supports professional accounts only. Your BlackFlame handle is created from your social account's username.
How does sign-in work, and how do I sign out?
There is no password: you sign in through your social account each time. Verified once, trusted everywhere. Your social account is checked for ownership, follower authenticity, and policy compliance. We never post on your behalf. You stay signed in for 30 days on each device, and "Log out" on your Profile ends the current session.
Safety and honesty
Are coins securities, and who holds them?
BlackFlame states on every page: "Coins are not securities · Custodied by BF Trust · T+0" "Price powered by QRP · Settles T+0 · Custodied by BF Trust"
Does BlackFlame promise returns?
No. A coin's price can go down as well as up, and Daily Vault amounts depend on trading that may not happen. For how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy and Terms.
